Our newest Pick of the Month is the National Gallery Shawl by Tanis Grey.  This shawl is a nice example of the striping that is so popular right now in shawls, with the added textural interest that comes from the daisy stitch.  This shawl is made in three skeins of Knit Collage Stargazer Silk & Sequins, two in Color A and one in Color B.

Most knitters dream of making their own creative knitwear designs. This notebook turns dreams into reality. Each of the approximately 30 blank journal entries includes space for inspirational materials, information on yarn, tools, and gauge, project instructions, and a photo of the finished project. Also included are two types of graph paper--one for sketching a silhouette/schematic, the other for creating stitch charts--a sample garment pattern, outlines of basic shapes, and information on measurements and yarn.  There's even a ruler printed on the inside back cover!
