Pep Leo Faux Fur Hat Faux Fur is everywhere from Katie Couric's "Today Show" wardrobe to the runways of Europe to your local Macy's. This simple to knit hat will keep you warm on chilly LA nights and keep you right in style.

Materials:
Two balls Lana Grossa Pep (Solids, Prints, Blocco, Leo or Tiger) Two balls Lana Grossa Bingo in coordinating color Size 13 double point needles or size 13 16" circular and double points

Sized for Adults. The instructions in parentheses will provide a hat for a man or a looser, bigger woman's hat.

Cast on 60 (64) stitches. Arrange stitches evenly on 4 double pointed needles. Place a marker to note beginning of round, and begin knitting in the round -- make certain not to twist the first row when joining.
Knit every row till work measures about 7" from beginning. The bottom 1.5 inches will form a nice rolled brim. Begin decreases as follows:

Dec round 1: K2, K2 together, and repeat around until 36 (48) stitches remain.
Work one round without decreases.

Dec round 2: K1, K2 together, and repeat around until 24 (32) stitches remain.
Work one round without decreases.

Dec round 3: K2 together, and repeat around until 12 (16) stitches remain.
Work one round without decreases.

Dec round 3 & 4: K2 together, and repeat around. After you work these two rows (3) 4 stitches remain. Cut yarn leaving a 6" tail.

Thread tail through a darning needle, and thread needle through remaining stitches. Pull through to inside of hat, and secure tightly to inside. Weave in ends.
